OLIVE AYHENS
Long Summer Nights, 2025
The aerial perspective of Long Summer Nights captures the bustling life of New York City. Barges and sailboats compete for space in the harbor. The headlights and tail lights of cars and trucks on the elevated roadways perpetuate a never-ending flow of people in motion. Yet there is a certain exuberance and joy to the chaos, a sense of dynamic energy, people moving, playing and working all together all over the city. In the foreground, the new playing fields and Brooklyn Bridge Park show figures running and playing ball. The overall scene is charged with life and color, inviting us to look deeper and enjoy the night.
KEN BUHLER
Compass, 2025
variable edition of lithographs on artist-made marbled paper
Ken Buhler’s most recent project at Jungle Press is a series of prints combining marbleized paper and lithographic printing. The rich complexity of color and pattern generated in the practice of marbling reflects Buhler’s longtime interest in the natural world, both in appearance, and process. The affinity became a starting point for his new series of monoprints titled Compass.
GLENN GOLDBERG
Family, 2025
In this group of three new etchings, Glenn Goldberg delves deeper into his fictive world inhabited by elements of nature. Growing up in New York City, the artist suffered from what he has called "nature deprivation syndrome." Finding little inspiration in the concrete jungle, he turned to his imagination to create a world of his own: full of the flowers, birds, and other forms that became his "personal soul feeders".
JILL MOSER
In Play, 2025
Variable woodcut edition on handmade Khadi 100% rag paper
Over the last five years, Jill Moser’s work in printmaking has drawn inspiration from her collages. With In Play, the artist creates a new group of 28 monoprints, each exploring a subtle world of texture and color, having their own unique character.
Jungle Press Editions is a publisher of fine art prints and multiples by internationally renowned contemporary artists. Collaborating with master printer Andrew Mockler in his Gowanus, Brooklyn workshop, each artist is encouraged to develop an experimental approach. Working together in lithography, etching, monoprint, and relief printing, the printer and artist bring the artist's work out of the studio into the realm of printmaking.
